PARTNER CRITERIA

We are looking for tangible and catalytic impact through ideas and programs that will result in sustainable change. Our partners in this alliance are organizations large and small, new and established;  our partners operate across a variety of content areas, both domestic and international.

With this in mind, partners must:

• Be a US registered 501c3 organization
• Be financially viable with sufficient fund raising capacity and track record
• Have a history of successfully completing impactful projects with evidence of that success
• Have a solid reputation in their field for operating with integrity
• Understand the mission and criteria of Open Road
• Be open, honest, transparent, with Open Road regarding risks, failures, needs, and constraints.

FUNDING CRITERIA

Responding to these unforeseen roadblocks and opportunities are core to our gift-making strategy.

We fund existing projects that:

• Are mid-stream with the qualified personnel and necessary resources to carry-out the project as originally envisioned
• Can remove the roadblock/seize the opportunity with a one-time, discrete gift vs. ongoing funding
• Will result in both tangible evidence of progress within the grant timeline (generally 18 months or less); and carries significant potential to lead to catalytic change
• Have a high potential for success

Our gifts directly enable one or all of the following:

• Allow an existing, promising project to continue where it otherwise would stall or stop.
• Capitalize upon an unanticipated opportunity that would multiply the benefits of an existing project/initiative.
• Leverage additional funding for increased impact.

Gift range is up to $100K.
